aaa thank you!  ;A;  I've been working on this (or at least thinking on it) for a really long time  so i'm happy to finally have the design out there!  I never felt fully....connected i guess?  to just having the basic anthro look for them  but big fluffy monster i feel fits a lot better!  (originally i was going to have them the same species as dirty, but that never really felt fully right either)

I don't have a ton to elaborate on mainly because i don't really have much of a story or beckground concept for them anymore past the fact that they're just me but with all the gross ugly parts manifested physically (hence all the slime!) I chose phlegm and bile as sort of just a really surface level "these are the two humors i match up with the most" but  as far as the parasite goes, I wanted something representitive of all my mental health issues. They're on the inside but come out a lot, they're awful but they're still a part of me that I really can't  get rid of and despite all the negative things it's still somewhat of a symbiotic relationship because i wouldn't really have grown to be me or be where i am without it which....i'm not sure if that's good or not but it is what it is i suppose haha! 

I'd like to think though character wise, it's  a rather uncomfortable thing to live with. Depending on how much of itself it's manifesting itself on the outside  I'd imagine it's extremely uncomfortable to function given the size!

Aww you're super welcome, and thank you for this extra info! That's a neat way of looking at it... that these things are a part of you, which sucks sometimes, but without that your life could have turned out dramatically different-- perhaps in a way you wouldn't like. It is what it is and that's ok! I also like that you separated your bad feelings and your persona. It's so much easier to work on our problems when we can observe them in a detached manner, for example imagining intrusive thoughts as a mean little bully. I'M SORRY PSYCHOLOGICAL CHARACTERS ARE JUST SO COOL......... love this big beastie aa. <33

I do have another question! Is Shep kinda-sorta near-impossible to kill? They strike me as the type of monster who can take, say, a chainsaw to the gut. A regular pain sponge.......

Yeah yeah, I really like that! Darkness has its place too. And just as you said, when we accept, then work with with our problems they can then be turned into something healthier. I'm happy you have this character to help you keep a good frame of mind. <3

(Also just have lots of fun omg, I love the ULTIMATE PAIN Shep. Also derpy Shep, one of the funnest mascots I've ever seen ahaha. Would love to have 50 stickers of them maybe.....!)
