There's nothing more time consuming than friends. But there's also nothing that's bringing more light into the darkness that our life promises. It's a sweet escape, forgetting your duties and responsibilities for just a few minutes or even hours. We start showing our true colors and lay down the mask we wore for the rest of the day, because a friend won't judge you for who you are.
Just because you see someone daily or you get along with someone, doesn't mean they're your friends, a friend is someone you feel at ease around. someone you can tell your darkest memories or your biggest fears to. Someone you would give your life for, because you know they would do the same for you. And so you do.
