I won't be adding anything to this picture anymore. For some reason I've come to like the vagueness of it; feels archaic, almost. The other picture was torn down and replaced, because it was inspired by my ugly PMS.

Conquistadors have magnificent helmets. I like them better than pirate hats, indubitably. Though, I suppose it matters which sort of pirate hat; but I notice they come in a few stock varieties:
1) The billowy pimp/tortilla hat, with a plumy feather.
2) The black/brown taco hat. Self explanatory; Google "pirate hat" and you'll see what I mean.
3) The folded dumpling hat, like Jack Sparrow's.

I don't see many images of Carriedo dressed as an armed conquistador; I almost always see him dressed as a flamboyant pirate, usually accompanied by England. So I thought I'd try something different. And besides that, I like to imagine what the personified Imperio Español would've been like. :c
