During the Yom Kippur war, the Israeli Air Force shot down 334 Egyptian aircraft. Israel lost 104, but mostly all of those were due to Anti-Air missiles and AAA guns. The Egyptian Air Force failed to meet its expectations, and suffered many losses in direct air-to-air combat.
