AELAV, an acronym for All ELectric Aerodynamic Vehicle, is a concept design study meant to represent the advantages in fuel economy and space efficiency that can be brought from emerging technologies.

The AELAV body is design to look modern, exciting, and yet provide significant aerodynamic properties. From the front of the car, the roof line flows gently towards the back of the vehicle, ending in a generously curved rear end, in order to keep the airflow nice and smooth. Moreover, the wheels sport an interesting innovation in wheel covers, which rid of the penalties of a moving wheel.

The heart of the car lies along the floor - Lithium-Ion batteries run along the underside of the car, and are accessed via a hatch from the rear. The batteries send power to 4 electric motors, one in each wheel. Each electric motor consists of 5 coils rotating around a central magnet.

The use of electric motors mean that the wheelbase of the car can be stretched beyond what is conventionally allowed. This results in very small overhangs, both front and rear, and allow for maximum cabin space, offering generous seating and luggage space. Access is from a upward opening rear door, and the rear panels can also open, giving unprecedented access to the rear of the car.
