20 minutes! Holy moly. Yeah a bit slow...but it depends on what you were doing with that time. I had always been the fastest in the class so I tended to go out, get snack, eat.....and all that other stuff. 20 minutes.... did you sketch them first, then do neat lines later or something? I could understand that especially when doing careful precision. Obviously 20 minutes is too long for gestures.

Yep, you got it right 
I do a rather quick sketch first (up to 5 minutes or so), and spend the rest of the time adding finish to them.
