After spending so many hours on my last drawing, I felt like doing something a little less time-consuming - so I set myself a challenge this morning: I would try to finish a new drawing in one day. The perfectionist in me couldn't handle doing a quick-and-dirty portrait (I officially suck at quick-and-dirty drawings - I'm way too obsessed with details to pull them off), so I figured I'd do another eye drawing. I had to rush a few things (to the great dismay of my perfectionist alter ego) because I really wanted to finish it, so it's definitely not perfect. However, I'm quite happy with the way it turned out.

Size: 12 x 9 cm
Materials: HB and 2B mechanical pencils, kneadable eraser, regular eraser, blending stump, cotton buds, tissues
Paper: A5 Canson paper, 120g, fine grain
Time: 6 hours

You did this in only 6 hours!? The reflections and the striations in the pupil are excellent. Even the eyelashes are done in fine detail.

ich schreibe dir mal wieder einen kommentar auf deutsch, damit du nicht aus der übung kommst
das ist ja mal der absolute hammer - so ne challenge! ich glaube, dass ich an einem nervenzusammenbruch gescheitert wäre.
die details sind der wahnsinn - du hast ein wirklich gutes augenmaß! beeindruckend - sag mal, wie gehst du so was an? machst du ein gitter oder so was?
dein "hero"-status hat sich hiermit erhärtet xD
ps.: ich habe die bildbearbeitungsdiskussion verfolgt^^ an sich arbeite ich recht ähnlich, aber noch lieber verwende ich die "gradiationskurve" (image/agjust/curves) oder mixe beides!
wenn du möchtest, kann ich dir das mal zeigen/beschreiben.
dennoch finde ich, dass deine zeichnungen selbst ohne bearbeitung unglaublich toll sind

Ich werde versuchen etwas auf Deutsch zu sagen, aber da es schon wieder drei Jahre her ist seit ich mein Abitur hab' gemacht, werde ich wiederholt ein Wörterbuch heranziehen mussen - ich bin ja richtich aus der Übung! Allerdings verstehe ich dich noch immer perfekt, also das ist ein Trost.
Erstens möchte ich dir danken für deine liebe Wörter - du bist wirklich ein Schatz! 
Eigentlich arbeite ich nie mit einem Gitter. Ich habe nur bei meiner letzten Zeichnung, 'The World At Your Feet', ein Gitter gemacht (zum ersten Mal) weil das originales Bild sehr groß war. Es hat mir trotzdem sehr gut gefallen, und ich denke daß ich in Zukunft mehr mit dieser Methode arbeiten werde, denn ich mach mir immer Sorgen daß ich die Verhältnisse vermiest habe.
Es würde sehr toll sein wenn du mir zeigtest wie du deine Zeichnungen bearbeitest! Welches Programm benütztst (hm, habe ich das gut buchstabiert?

musste mehrere male schmunzeln, als ich deine antwort gelesen habe
du hältst dich wirklich ziemlich gut!
na ja, wir hatten uns ja bereits einige male auf deutsch geschrieben, deshalb dachte ich, dass ich es mal wieder mache^^
sag mir nur, ob du das möchtest oder nicht, denn wenn nicht lasse ich es bleiben - kein problem!
ha, genau das problem habe ich auch - die proportionen! aber bei solch einem großen bild ist das gitter echt von vorteil.
ich persönlich mache mir nur sehr wenige hilfslinien und außerdem bin ich gerade etwas frustriert, weil ich mit der zeichnung, an der ich gerade arbeite nicht vorankomme..
ich benutze photoshop - hast du das auch?

Ja, Photoshop habe ich, aber ich benutze es eigentlich nie. Mein Vater hat es auf mein PC installiert, weil er ein richtiger Professional mit Photoshop ist, aber es ist mir ein bisschen zu kompliziert. Zu viele Möglichkeiten...
Und ja, ich hab' dein Poll schon beantwortet - keine Livestreams für mich. Ich arbeite lieber alleine.
