This is such an intriguing shot... partly because of the fact that it is taken in a mirror, which was the first thing I noticed due to the backwards signs, but mostly it intrigues me because of the wealth of activity that occurs all around us at any given moment. It has struck me on many occasions that there are so many people in this world, all going about their respective business, never really noticing the others around them... the life that is occurring in every tiny space. We live in the same world, even within touching distance of each other, but no one but us ever sees exactly the same thing. We are isolated within ourselves... it is a very strange thought to me. I just thought I would try to share that...

Seconds before I took this shot, the homeless guy had been sitting on the guardrail. So, oddly enough, the focus (message?) of the image changed, all on itself, from one of a man left out in the cold alone - to something different.
It does seem, however that most people are too "busy" - whether it's a real busy or they just make themselves busy - to notice the small pockets of what goes on around us. Alas.
