I was coloring these as a warm up, but in typical me fashion, I couldn't stop until it was done...

So a lot to cover here, but I'll try not be get into deep.

1. Long story short, Onyx got into an altercation with the Crystal Gems, which ended with him physical form being destroyed. His gem was taken by corrected Freckles before the gems has a chance to bubble him. Thus the era of his 'Industrial Revolution lay-man style'.

2. Freckles was found causing a ruckus on the board walk of Beach City. Crystal Gems tried to fight her. Onyx recognized her and intervened and that just opened a whole can of 5000 year old worms.

3. After he reformed, Onyx wandered a bit with corrupted Freckles and Willow (Weepy Rose Quartz) and that's when they found CZ (Cubic Zirconia) around the area that used to be Atlantis. Redesigned her to be a more ancient/tribal design to match the possible human culture that created her.

4. Together the four of them settle in an abandoned part of Russia, occupying the overgrown residential and industrial area. Onyx let free a myriad of corrupted/fused/off-color/partial gems that he had smuggled off of Homeworld when he and Sodalite fled. Between Freckles in her corrupted form, and CZ ability to control lesser gems, they keep them out of trouble.

5. Kind of retconning some othering things here, but after settling in Chernobyl, Onyx started cunducting experiments similar to the ones he and Sodalite did back on Homeworld. Along with developing a way to bring Freckles back to herself for a certain length of time, he is also working to reform Sodalite's shattered gem. I don't know why, but I really dig the idea of Onyx looking after an invalid Sodalite.

6. They found Petite Pearl wandering alone near the crater that Pink Diamond was formed in. Since Petite always dreamed of serving a diamond, she keeps close to CZ and helps her.

Some randos here include the mouse that Onyx fused with a Sapphire shard, giving it a strong sense of intuition that looks after Sodalite when he can't be there, a Bismuth that's just arms and a Ruby that's just legs (they have no desire to be a fusion, but help each other out when needed), and Ruphire (A previously shattered Ruby and Sapphire gem, force-fused together by Sodalite to see what would happen after witnessing the creation of CG Garnet on Earth)

Sorry that was a lot of crap. Been sitting on a lot of ideas for about a year and never got around to talk about it... Please forgive the mental vomit...
