Took this portrait of a Nomad somewhere in Ouarzazate province, Morocco (on the way to N'Kob).. It's too bad I didn't write down his name.. Bad photojournalist!Tri-x, Nikon F100, 20mm f/2.8

Don't you think 20mm is too short for portraits, even if these are in a journalistic contest/style?
I feel his shape a bit deformed by the wideangle.

no, not if it's level which clearly isn't the case here... there is a bit of keystoning..

SUCH a great image man...... so good! I love the plane separation that the wide gives and the blur in the background... maybe you could have tried one while stopping down, to keep it all focused?

I probably could have a stop or two but I really wanted him to pop thus the wide aperture. So long as there was some resemblance of a road behind him..
