Description
I sing softalmost mournful
as moonlight
enters this room
wisps of smoke
curl thin against the
pale of my song
from breath blown candles
their vanilla scent
hangs heavy here
I breathe in
their demise
my hand opens
to grasp time
these fingers
entwine only darkness
grip the flesh of nothing
breaks my song
against endless folds
of a blue silk curtain
that flows inward with
the transparent breeze
a glimpse of moon
caught amidst the billow
I press lips to palms
and send a kiss
float it towards
the moon
and
you

You have such amazing imagery in your writing... it makes me want to write more often to see if I can get the same poignancy.
