Excellent portrayal. Fine lines and very fine figure. Colors, lighting and shade are very well done. That "Come hither" look certainly helps.

Thank you! I'm so happy you like it!Β As for the render being perfection, well not quite.Β It would be by Poser standards but it's my first venture with Octane.Β I've seen such amazing renders done with this program which means I've got a lot of learning to do! Thanks anyway though.

You're welcome! Β Well, now that I know you're using Octane I'll be paying particularly close attention to your renders. Β I may make the leap to Octane someday but I have to wonder if (for me) making a large investment into a rack of video cards is wise. Β But any way ya wanna slice it, that's an excellent render! Β Β

Thanks again Gene.Β I have a lot of reading, testing, and practicing to do, but I love Octane compared to Reality/Lux.Β I bought my video card last spring, then saved for the Octane program in between.Β So yes, expensive but was easier on the budget that way.Β Just a suggestion.

and one back at ya. Β
I love the way those Octane videos make it appear so easy to accomplish lifelike renders. Β I'll definitely be watching your progress Cheryl.
BTW, I have new machine with a Cuda 2GB video card. Β Some day, when I have a lot of free time, I'll traipse over to their site and give the trial software another shot. Β If the computer doesn't immediately go legs up, they may have a sale. Β Β

Well, if you have a Cuda graphics card then you're set!!Β
I think I played with the demo once becauseΒ I was already sold simply by seeing the renders of others.Β Hurry up and get Octane so we can help and watch each others progress.Β

OK, you've persuaded me to, at least, give the trial software a fair shot. Β Wish me luck. Β Β

OK, I downloaded and installed the trial version. Β The sample files rendered very photorealistically and quickly. Β I'm really impressed. Β Β
However, before springing for the Octane software I think I'll wait for the next release of LuxRender, i.e., 1.3, as it supports GPU acceleration. Β I'll do a seat of the pants cost/benefit analysis and then decide on the best course.
LOL ... please bear with me on this Cheryl. Β

And I'm still open to Octane as it seems to work really well with my current video card. Β Time will tell.
