Wasn't Logan disabled by nerve strikes in the first issue of his own character defining mini-series? And as I recall, the Asian drug lord who humiliated him in this fashion didn't have the benefit of Vulcan strength.

Still I can't blame people too harshly. The Star Trek/X-Men comic was pretty wretched.
Have you read the Star Trek: Infestation comic? It takes place in the era of the first motion picture, so it might not be your bag, but unlike STXM it's true to the characters.
Rather than being a zombie kill-fest, the story depicts Kirk's struggle to safeguard the life of his crew while doing all he can to preserve the live of the Federation citizens affected by a zombie virus. It's both a tale about survival and the weight of command. It really is Star Trek vs. zombies, as opposed to the two dimensional characters out of an Eddy Murphy monologue versus badly written super-heroes.

Haha, thanks man. I mean, the picture DOES have a pretty large comic-style "sound effect" blurb of "PINCH" right near Spock's fist, but who reads those blurbs anyway?
I didn't mind the TOS/X-Men comic too much. It took place during the proper TOS time period, and I liked how they used Gary Mitchell to bridge the two (Mitchell being a mutant similar to the X-Men type characters).
I haven't read the "Infestation" comic, but I read about it on Trekmovie.com. I don't mind TMP (if I'm in a good mood), so that's not as bad as if, say, they had put it during the TWOK era.
I've seen a few panels of the comic, and I've read the set-up synopsis, and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it. The backstory really feels like something straight out of an authentic TOS episode, which amps up the "coolness" factor by really giving the impression that it's a true "Star Trek/zombie" crossover, or "TOS does zombies."
Knowing that you of all people approve of the comic makes me put even more faith in it. I'll definitely have to check it out now!
