The story of these two is solely to pour out extragooeyromantic feels.
Psykhe was a poor rich girl who hated her life and wanted to be free of a rich heiress' duties. She escaped and Eros saved her from the vile world she encountered when running away from her golden cage. Eros was a street dweller, a member of the rougher society.
They were soulmates. If there is destiny, it guided them together. Eros visited Psykhe in secretand their love could only grow deeper and deeper, like there was no end.
Until the end came. Eros was killed. Psykhe wanted to follow him in demise, but all her attempts were in vain. So she lived. She was miserable and always pining for her first love, for her other half.
Time may heal wounds, but Eros' death left such a big scar it couldn't be ignored. Psykhe was married off to a political marriage. It wasn't a miserable life. She was content, even happy, but always lacking.
Psykhe grew old. She saw her grandchildren and even great grandchildren, but dementia got hold of her. She lost her memories, except for the ones she had gained as a young girl, loving Eros. She had loved the generations after her, with devotion and a mother's heart, but her brain couldn't hold the memories of them. Psy was placed in a facility for the elderly, but she had always been cunning and a master in escaping when she snuck out to meet Eros when she was young. So even as an old woman she snuck out to find her lover.

Ikkit had transformed Eros when he had died, and every now and then Ikkit had noticed Psykhe wandering near the same woods as where Eros had dwelled as an esk for decades. One time Psykhe ventured deeper into the rocky forest and Ikkit started to tease the old woman with his shadows. Ikkit made shadows formed like a man, and Psykhe thought Eros had come to him. When she tried to run after the shadow, it disappeared. Ikkit lured her deeper and deeper into the forest, close to where he had originally transformed Eros. As a thank you to Psykhe for being a good plaything, he transformed the mentally and physically lost Psykhe. Eros ventured to the place where Ikkit had just started the transformation, seeing her again for the first time in years. He saw her as an old human, but the transformation for Psykhe was like traveling back in time. She aged backwards back to the time when they were young lovers before becoming an esk, and they could live again as spirits.
