July 4th 2001:2:47 pm:
Mike: "Sweet Scarlet Fire! Rex! Are you alright?"
Rex: "I'm alright, I'm just a little shaken up about what happened..."
Mike: "I'm glad to see you're okay, Rex, but I'm completely shocked about what has happened to me..."
2:48 pm:
Rex: 'Are you okay, Mike?"
Mike: 'Oh Yes, Rex, I'm fine. I'm just a little exhausted, that's all. All I need to do is shunt the Ballast Hoppers onto the Ballast Hopper and then I'll fill up my boiler with water and then rest in the sheds to calm down."
Rex: "Okay Mike..."
2:50 pm:
Mike (narrating): "As soon as my driver changed the points, I shunted the Ballast Hoppers full of Ballast onto the Ballast Chute feeling tired, but triumphant."
Mike's driver: 'Are you okay, Mike?"
Mike: "Yes, Driver, I am now. Now that I've calmed down, I'll park the Ballast Hoppers onto the Ballast Chute and make my way to the Sheds."
Mike's Driver: "Okay, Mike."
Mike (narrating): "and that was my story. I'll let Bert tell his story of what happened to him on the day of the blast."
