William, better known as Billy, arrived on the island to act as the S.C.Ruffey Ballast Co. pilot engine.

Unfortunately, come 1970, the little engine was uprooted, and relocated to the North Western Railway. Following a disastrous first day with No's 8 and 11, he was quickly moved to the town of Great Waterton as a goods engine. He's enjoyed this life for the most part, though Dennis will test his limited patience more often than either would like to admit.
