Description
An old 1/72 M1A1 Abrams that I had was certainly worse for the wear after moving around the country, and sitting in storage for so long, I needed to fix it any way. I'd contemplated doing a hard SF near future conversion, and instead of the anti-grav conversion, it maintained the treads and got post-apocalyptic corrugated sheet skirt armor to replace the original skirt armor that fell off. Sheet styrene in the form of the corrugated sheet and flat metal plates were used, along with a T-pin and lighter to make bullet holes and dings and scratches.

So, why the 20mm scale? Well, that is 1/72nd roughly, just for miniature soldiers. So I use this tank in a table top war game called Gaslands from Osprey Publishing, along with other popular die cast toy cars (Hotwheels and Matchbox for example) converted to the game.
