Self-explanatory stamp. I support Funimation getting the license to re-dub and re-release Sailor Moon in North America. They've given series such as Fullmetal Alchemist, Fruits Basket, Black Butler, and Ouran High School Host Club fabulous dubs, and I want to see Sailor Moon get the same treatment. It's about time our beloved series got an uncut North American release that does it justice.If you're interested, you can also join my group on LiveJournal for the same cause. [link] You can write journal entries giving reasons why we need a release and why Funimation would be ideal for the job. Hopefully, if there's enough support, Toei will see how much English speaking fans want Sailor Moon again and finally license the series to them.

I agree with this stamp! Sailor Moon was the first anime I grew up watching as a child. I always turned on the television as soon as I came home. the DIC version of it was good, but Cloverway was kind of bad, but I tolerated it.

I hear they're making an entirely new Sailor Moon anime, and airs worldwide Summer 2013!

they're right 'you SHOULD be watching'. glad you support funimation aswell. i look forward to them continuing to dub one piece soon (i heard theyll be doing it this summer, but im not certain, i just hope so)

I think it would be cool that Sailor Moon be re-dubbed in English. Not only was the original English Manga from Mixx/Tokyopop incorrectly translated, the English dubbed Anime by DiC and Cloverway wasn't translated properly either. If you watch both the Japanese version with English subtitles and the English dub, you can easily tell the English dub wasn't properly translated. And it's very sad that certain episodes (including the one with Interpol Officer Katarina) and the Sailor Stars season finale were never dubbed into English. If the renewed English Manga from Kodansha Comics USA resolved the translation issues, this means that the Anime series should be re-dubbed in English, too.

I agree. I mean, I'm not the biggest fan of Viz because I don't like who they choose for voice actors half the time (but I'll admit that Death Note was really good in English), but at least it's uncut and they offer it in Japanese too.

Yeah. I think they did a pretty good job with translating Naruto and stuff. I don't get why some fans whine and moan about how the series in English aren't uncut...on this Naruto dvd I have it's totally uncut like the Japanese version is :/ Wierd how some fans are huh?

Naruto is pretty good, but I'm not a fan of Naruto's voice. ^^' Yeah, the DVD's are uncut, so they have no right to complain. The might claim that Viz's subs are inaccurate just because there aren't as many swears as there are in their fansubs, but to be honest, the fansubs are probably less accurate. I'm in my second year of Japanese, and sometimes I can tell where the fansubs paraphrase or add swears where there are none. There are no Japanese equivalents for the F-bomb and the like, so I know those were just added in to make them sound tougher. I agree, fans are so hard to please.

Well,that's the fansubs. The actual Japanese version doesn't have as many swears either in my opinion from what I've seen...or more like read because I couldn't keep up with the language -_- I've always wanted to take a Japanese or Korean class

Yeah, for them, it's more about HOW you say something rather than the actual words. That's why they have formal and informal speech. They do have a few curses, but nothing like our really bad ones as far as I know.

Oh yeah. Nothing like f*** or any of those really from what I've watched in Asian dramas/horrors. I actually prefer those OVER anime XD Because I think they show you more of the culture then anime does,of course,you can't learn the language or all of the culture just by watching movies or anime right? You have to reasearch on it. *Hope that wasn't offensive

I know how you feel. I got ridiculed for saying that I didn't like Goku's Japanese voice. :/ Some people are immature and can't respect opinions. Also, I think J. Michael Tatum is a great voice actor. He did a good job with both Black Butler's Sebastian and Kyouya from Ouran. I also really like Vic Mignogna and Yuri Lowenthal. They're two of my favorite English voice actors.
I totally know what you mean. Don't worry, that's not offensive. To learn the language properly, I think one should take classes or at least buy a language course. As for culture, yeah, you can't just learn from anime; you have to research. I think actually going to visit the country is the best way to experience it, though.

I like the voices better in the original, but the dialogue is better in Kai. I probably would've bought Kai instead of Z if not for the fact that Kai doesn't have the Buu Saga.
I don't think Toei would even consider it. I've heard that the reason North America never got the last season was because the creator was mad at how DiC butchered it or something like that (though it's just a rumor). Plus Funimation has been trying longer, so hopefully they'd be the ones to get it.

I've heard that Funi has been trying to get the rights to Sailor Moon for years, but they've been having a hard time with Toei. Since the manga is being re-released here and Hot Topic now carries new Sailor Moon merchandise, that's a sign that they anime will come back as well.
