Firstly, congrats for this piece, I really love it!
Before I read the description I had thought this looked like a scene out of Howl's Moving Castle, therefore I think you were successful in creating a Studio Ghilbi feel.
Additionally, I adore the background, your clouds and sky have a transient quality, and hey almost pull one away. The hint of pink and orange tones give it a surreal feel, further creating the Studio Ghilbi feel.
Next time, I would consider giving the foreground a bit more depth and detail? After all, it is the place closest to the viewer, hence I feel like we should be able to see a bit more.
I love how your figures are sightly simple and refined, as it emphasizes the background. However, I think this piece (or something similar) could also work with more detailed figures, and a greater, or different composition to create space.

Thank you for the suggestions ^^ There are blades of grass if you look closer, but I guess more detail might make it better. I guess adding more foliage such as flowers or may give it more depth? Thank you for your help!

Thank you for the critique! I'm glad the Ghibli feel comes through. I did want to keep it simple and emphasize on the atmosphere created by the sky, but your suggestion about adding more details to the foreground is definitely valid. I'm curious as to what type of details you think I could add? I did want to add more elements to it during my process but wasn't sure what, so decided to keep it simple in the end.

I was thinking, that perhaps you could lighten the foreground a bit to add shadows? Or perhaps give it a texture, such as blades of grass? These are just some ideas I was thinking of, I'm sure you have some ideas too 
And simple works well! Because there is a lot of complexity throughout.Β

A wonderful piece! You have really shown the detail in the terrain and sky. The clouds look very realistic and colours are perfect! I love how the sky has that tad of orange and pink. The peoples cloths are perfect for the scene and also the plane is makes the picture stand out more! The stream lines after the plane really give it that look but I would have made the plane a bit bigger. And the females reactions are perfect. I really like how this was set out, and I also love the shadings that have been put in.

Awesome. Feels like a still from a Miyazaki film. Only critique are the jet streams, they don't seem to be coming from the jet, and so it feels like I'm being forced to follow them. Maybe turn them into power lines?
