Description
Rising-Artists 's March Colors Contest looked really interesting and I wanted to do something for it before I get busy again. So this is my entry for: fav.me/d79kqmx .It was definitely challenging only being limited to one colour, but a fun challenge nonetheless. I chose blue for its tranquility and calming qualities. Also, to me it symbolizes freedom since it's the colour of the sky which is vast and limitless. This piece for me is about letting go of things that hold you back from reaching your full potential. It's about letting go of your regrets, accepting yourself and your weaknesses, and living freely by your own beliefs, hence the title.
Used redheadstock 's brushes for some of the birds.

Beautiful! I love your use of the color. I also love the texture of the clouds, the ripples around the girl, the girl, her shadow, the birds, and the way the whole picture is reflected. It's truly gorgeous.

I love how the blue and the softness of the clouds gives this piece a soft atmosphere. And the way you mixed in the white works perfectly! With the upward movement of the birds and the description you gave, it definitely gives me a hopeful feeling. ^^ Great work!
