Description
Here's an album cover for the forthcoming Shitbird release, Fly Away Shitbird. This is essentially the follow up to his 2011 release Dropping a Duece that I also did the art for.

This cover was actually attempted and abandoned all the way back in 2013, I was having issues with the cover art even after multiple retries and didn't know how to solve the problems I was encountering in the first place, so after much wailing and gnashing of teeth I decided to throw in the towel until further notice. Coincidentally, the musician (Shitbird) had a harddrive crash or something like that and he ended up losing a large majority of the material for his forthcoming album, so with both of us incredibly demotivated we both mutually gave up on the project without even directly communicating on it. I still think some of that stuff from the original 2013 attempt is interesting and valid in it's own right, so I've compiled it all for viewing at the following.

Anyway, Fast foward 3 years later and Shitbird has a bunch of new amazing album material ready to drop along with a forthcoming tour, and I finally was able to find time in my schedule to do this up right. It's been a lot of fun to see this finished properly after sitting there unrealized in my head and partially attempted on my drive for all these years. So much has changed between then and now it's mind boggling.

A few of the kids in the crowd are references to incredibly old characters of mine from equally old comic projects here on DA, but my page is so dead compared to what it used to be (my fault since i basically totally stopped posting) that I'm sure only a couple people will recognize them. Anyway, enjoy!
