Description
Hey guys! Long time no submissions haha. I've been wanting to make some plush tutorials for a long time, but just never got round to it. I'm still struggling a bit with motivation, but I put this together as a thank you to you all for the support, love and comments you amazing people send my way. This is a fairly simple plush to make, but you do need basic sewing skills to make them. It's been put together with the assumption that you all know how to sew either by hand or machine. You can do either, though I'd suggest using a machine since the stitches will be stronger.
The pattern for these plush is NOT to be sold, nor are any plush made with it. Making paraprites for yourself is encouraged (obviously) and making them as gifts is fine too. Just please give me credit for the pattern, and link back to this tutorial so we can spread the sprite love and really get these buggers multiplying
I work really hard on my patterns, so please respect my terms for it's use.
Also, if you make some sprites please send me a link! I'd absolutely love to see how they turn out for you
Pattern:
And the amazing EthePony has kindly uploaded embroidery files to be used with the pattern:
Parasprites and My Little Pony belong to Hasbro.
Plush and pattern are by me.

So do I get an 'A' for effort since I did it by hand? He's so wonky...perfect for Derpy Hooves

Yeah I did, the only part I really struggled with was sewing the wings on.Β

Oh good And yeah, that's the tricky part. I tend to use pliars for that sort of thing since I can't get my fingers into those tricky spots.

Do you sew the back closed first? Or do you sew each pair of wings on the side and then sew the entire thing up? I wasn't sure, so I actually sewed the back shut, and then sewed the wings on....probably why I had trouble

I sew the back closed first. I think it'd be a lot harder to do it the other way.

Well, I did that right then! lol, It's just hard to work the needle through an already closed back, the wings are still a bit floppy...but that means he can fly...lol

Sorry to be a pain and ask, but which fabric do you use to embroider onto?

Haha, I managed to get them on a good day. Normally they're half broken and snagging on everything >-<

My skin is usually what snags on everything.Β
Glad to see I'm not the only one who likes to follow a distinct line when sewing.

I did have that problem for a while too! Lots of hand sewing = calloused fingers haha.
Oh yay! I think most people just incorporate the seam allowance into the pattern. I've never been able to do it that way though >-<

I see how that could do it. For me it's tending the greenhouse and occasional digging.
I don't think I could do that and maintain the consistency I have. Plus I'd have to cut a lot more accurately!

Ah, that'd definitely do it haha.
Yeah, that's true

I never mentioned I wanted/needed a pony pattern.
Just a tutorial on basic pony plushies. but ok.

To be honest I have no idea how to make a tutorial like that without adding my pattern haha
