This scene was heavily inspired by the chinese legend of the Cloud Temple, which was a highly isolated training center for a very special group of monks devoted to the protection of the Jade Emperor.

Combination of 2D and 3D techniques.

That's an amazing place! The unusual mountains look fantastic and the fog gives it a mysterious feel. The secluded temple reminds me of the League of Shadows in Batman Begins. Ninjas rule
