Description
From Wikipedia: Parkour is a physical discipline inspired by human movement, focusing on uninterrupted, efficient forward motion over, under, around and through obstacles (both man-made and natural) in one's environment. Such movement may come in the form of running, jumping, climbing and other more complex techniques. The goal of parkour is to adapt one's movement to any given obstacle. My brother loves parkour.
And I loved photographing him in action that day.
Full view to enjoy the complete exciting experience.
EDIT:
Apologies to those I have offended when naming this photo Parkour. I'm changing the title to avoid people flaming the mod that featured my DD, saying 'It's not parkour, it shouldn't be a DD'.

The sunlight coming in from behind makes your brother stand out more, it almost looks 3D, like he's jumping out of the photograph - I love it.
Congratulations on your DD, too, it's well deserved.
I'll show you my Parkouring one day. It's mostly speedy sauntering and tripping, but what isn't these days?

Estavamos num sítio, a apanhar seca, e ele decidiu começar a mostrar-me alguns moves. As linhas tão tortas? Boa. I don't think so.

A dele sim.
Peace. O título tá mudado.

"efficient forward motion"
parkour is not about tricking.
Say Freestyle PK or Free running or else, but parkour is about efficiency.
bye

I'm not an expert on the 'sport', nor did I ever intend to offend anyone by it. My brother pakours, this is what I caught him doing. This is not a video camera - it's a photographic camera. I can't capture movement, but I can capture something else. Please respect that.
And what about what he's doing isn't efficient? I think it's pretty amazing.

sorry to be so aggressive
I respect you and your work, i expected the fact that you were not involved much into this "art".
The only thing that touched me were the title "parkour", we have constant battle with the commercial people that leads parkour becoming something that it is not and loose all it's philosophy and hard work done behind with it.
For somekind of example, this move is totally not efficient for fast moving and is only done for show. This is not the philosophy of parkour : parkour is about humbleness and values to be built from hard mind training that comes from a warrior state of mind (i don't know the correct word, but in french we say "guerrier", that is a warrior with lots of values associated with it, a person with ideas approaching budhism to make him a greater and nice person). So this is just some random tricking associated with it. In a first view, this is not really important, but this simple difference is doing much pain to all the parkour community and children trying to make "cool things" and hurting themselves because of a wrong understanding and other people spreading a "cool attitude" (for money money $ $ ) over the important original values that are much more related to art .
This is somehow very complicated thing and political, i'm really bothering you haha, you're far from it, and outside this whole war (shit). I just thought that you could appreciate some information about it and have a deeper appreciation on the whole problem.
The problem isn't important , but i wanted to underline the point because sometimes in art the meaning is important and this one is very interesting if seen from the most interesting point of view.
Good photo although , you're gallery is cool.
Only the meaning touched me... but forget it

I honestly think my brother understands all that, I really do. I just saw him doing something and thought it would look cool in a shot, and asked him to do it again. Sorry if that failed to represent parkour, and I will gladly change the title if I reach the conclusion that I really am offending lots of people - I didn't mean to. My brother parkours, I caught him doing a move. If that particular move didn't represent the essence of parkour, then I'm sorry, I'm not the best person to talk. I just think that the photo is being overly critiqued for its meaning, and sure, I wanted to show what my brother likes to do when I posted it, but I pretty much just like the pose I captured him in, regardless of what move it actually is.
Thanks for the comment though, I appreciate the way you put things - instead of just randomly dissing my photo just because you think I 'don't get parkour' you actually bothered to explain what you thought was wrong. I do appreciate that. Thanks.

Parkour seems to be something that EVERY horror movie victim needs to know. xD
Let's see Jason, Michael, Freddie, or the Swamp Thing keep up with THOSE kinds of moves!
Great photographic expression of motion and movement. Great clarity, terrific tones, exceptional expression; cool, calm, and controlling.
I love it.
