Wooo^^ Like prespective and shallow DoF

There's such great detail and texture on the chain, in really draws me in to explore them^^ It's cool that it seem that everything but teh chains is blurry and it really helps to emphasize them. And the colors in the background are still soft and non-distracting^^ some of the lines that can still be seen act as leading lines and follow the chain. I think It would have been nice if the part of the chain closest the us was clear and retained some of the cool textures seen in the rest, as with the part furthest away from us.

As it stand right now, this is a nice picture (p.s. the boarder is a nice touch for organization) Remember other elemented of good photography for the future or if you want to improve this: leading lines lead our eye to the focal point, strong focal points hold our attention, consider your background, creative angles, texture, and etc. Remember also, it works in this picture since it's so close, but try not to put your focal point in the center; that will halt alot of the action, but if you put it in the 'hird's rule' the picture will flow alot nicer.^^

I know the focal point in this one is a little lacking per say because it's not well defined. And that does take away from it a little for the people that don't take the time to look at the detail of the image. I shot this one at a low f-stop so the DOF did become very short. The only thing I'm not happy with is the size of the chains. These chains are quite large but in the picture they don't appear to be that big. I think it could have added to the strength of the image if I had been able to make them appear closer to their natural size.

LOL. Thank you very much. Nope, It's not macro. I just kneeled down next to the chain and took a picture. That chian is larger then my arm.

Very beautiful/focused shot!

I like how you described it in the description box

I think it will also be cool if it were black and white (just my opinion)

Thanks! I usualy have a hard time with titles and descriptions but this one came easily. I did make a b&w copy, but the color one seems to have much more strength to it.

Very welcome! I also have a hard time with titles. I usually have to ask my g/f to help me out a lil bit.. I understand about the b/w photo also.

I love the strenght (both literal and figurative) in this photo. The DOF is also perfect for the piece and the texture of the rust comes out very well. Nice job!

I like it, the focus is nice, the detail is just great, and the composition is ok
but i really think that it rather lacks dramatization in respond to the title.

but for the photo:

This is a great picture my friend. Excelent dof. The contract between the background and the chain is pretty good. An excelent shot.
