Description This is the only title I could think of at the time.

He looks a bit like a freaky magician about to wow the audience with a homicidal trick or two

This was done with Acrylic and coloured pencil on heavyweight Acrylic paper (A4 size)

I wanted to make the background a bit different and of course -darker.

I think everyone has sympathy with a character that is so reckless and insane. You know that he's been through some event that sent him over the edge. All in all, I think he just needs a big hug

I'd do it, but I don't have a cattle prod to keep him at bay if things go wrong

I guess his always changing mood could be burdening for relationship !
But anyway, with his strange sense of humor he could be a mate of me !
I just say "Ohh, very poor choise of words", I can´t stop laughin about this !
Where are you from ? I´m from Germany and we have to wait a month
longer, moreover our Joker sychronisation in the trailer sounds like the
nice boy next door because of Heath "usual" softer roles ! Can´t wait for
the DVD, arghhh. I´m really enjoying Heath "singing " in psycho voice and
his laugh !

The Joker is pretty much in multiple realities. His madness is such I believe he's pretty much a different person from one minute to the next. What is constant is his penchant for chaos and a warped sense of humour. It makes sense to him, but to everyone else it's a sickness.

I love the 'oor choice of words' line. That pretty much sums up the Joker's humour to me.

Heath's voice is amazing. I'm just astounded that he changes so much with each character he plays. Such a great actor, and this role I think is going to be one of his best in a short career that produced magnificent work from him.

I'm in the UK and the film's release date here is the 25th, I think. Argh, I can't wait that long!!!

Well, here it´s the 21th ........ August ^^
why do they need so much time to sychronizise
if he gets a young, grandmother´s favorite voice ?
It was just the trailer and so I hope the actually good speaker will improve his psycho within ^^
On when the DVD comes out I´ll turn the boxes as loud as possible and let myself get blown away by Heath ! Unfortunately I´ll have to stop reading any kind of newspaper and watching TV, they´ll just spoil or make the time more suffering for me ^^
(The best way is locking myself into my room for 4 weeks, additionally this would be a good opportunity to get my Joker fan art fineshed, yes that´s what I´ll do muahhaahhaha)

I too am going to try and avoid spoilers. I might have been exposed to a few already, but I'm not taking anymore chances. I'll still be reading reviews though. Usually the well written ones will not talk about anything spoilerish, but there are a few sites I'll have to stop reading through if I want my watching experience to be exciting and surprising.

I think the same way, but the evil is all aroud me ^^
Just imagine my face when my TV Guide (!!!) spoiled
me the end of Harry Potter and the Half-blooded Prince.
That did´t made the book worse, but despite that I burned
the TV Guide and danced laughing around it muahahaha
I´m a bit afraid of the TV spots, but they increase my anticipation.
It´s like Christmas, nowone wants to know his present, but you´re
still every time curious ^^ I guess I´ll spend this Summer Christmas
without my TV Guide ^^

A man with green hair and unsettling smile stands next you with gun. You roll your eyes and shout 'stop stalking me, you freak!' then you run off down a back alley

He should be about to saw Batman in half. That's my idea - have him on a Jokerized stage with god knows what props in the background, Batman stuck in a box, with a top hatted Joker (with a cloak of course) grinning at him, holding a saw in his hand.

Cheers!

Haha Well, Joker IS a mad hatter... I do wonder would Bats survive from cutting to two pieces? the assistant girls seem to have that ability... maybe it's a requirement when you apply to a magicians assistant, "must have the ability to be cut in at least two pieces"

No prob ^^.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sullen-skrewt In reply to kalmanen [2008-06-25 22:45:06 +0000 UTC]

Bats would find a way. Doubt the Joker would really want to kill him anyway, because he would lose his challenge, his raison d'etre in life, or else he'd just get bored.

I would've loved to be a magicians assistant, but I'd probably be too stressed after being cut in half each evening. Saying that, it'd be nice to lose a bit of weight

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kalmanen In reply to sullen-skrewt [2008-06-26 04:42:20 +0000 UTC]

He always does and didn't Joker say in the Shadows of Gotham album (or something like that, that would be translation from the finnish name) that he deserves his Bats? You couldn't be a evil genius without someone messing up your plans

Magicians assistant, the newest way of losing weight - guaranteed free cuts!

sullen-skrewt In reply to kalmanen [2008-06-26 13:07:33 +0000 UTC]

This is true, like any good villain, you need a foil. I suppose they're seen as two sides of the same coin, maybe harvey's (one side bad, one side good).

free cuts indeed. The Magicians guide to weight loss: Guaranteed to make your fat disappear. Just remember the mop!

A bit like Harvey's coin, yeah But I guess it's the way things go, there is always good to defeat evil and evil challenging the good... makes life a bit more fun

Haha Free cuts but you must clean after yourself, no guarantees on which parts are removed...

Shame on you! Well, I hope you can compensate for your failings by owning a batpod, if not a cape and a swiss army knife attached to a belt will do.

Uh... I don't have a cape either :S Will a blanket cover with unicorn on it do the job? I have a matching pillow case too... And no swiss army knife, I'm no friggin' MacGyver! But I used to have a knife and I have cut myself (on the finger, I'm no emo kid either and I was six then ) with it I started failing at young age o/ And what would batpod look like? It definetly SOUNDS like a poor man's batmobile...

A matching pillowcase!!! You shall be known henceforth as the GoodKnight You can terrorize random people at bus stops with your unicorn motif costume and rather painful finger cut.

You could make a bicycle into a batpod by spraying it black and tying some incredibly lethal looking nail clippers to the handlebars. Of course you'd have to get a friend to grow a mustache (Oldman style) and shine a torce in your face whenever crime needs to be fought

* Does an epic pose with the backlight and cape dangling in the wind * Because of my tragic past, I MUST fight crime here in my hometown, Jyväskylä! And I two big scythes, I can service justice with cutting people with them! Although I'm a bit bordeline case (I even have a t-shirt what says that), so you never know when I might leap to the wrong side of right! And my loyal sidekick would be Luxa the Stupid Dog, who would slobber the criminals to stop. Lux can be seen [link] there, can you FEEL the deadly aura he's sending? He's a born killer!

My sister has taken my bicycle And I'd pimp it with carpet knives, they're deadlier! And Luxa could pull my bike... while I do epic poses and shout out my agendas. I could even put a cardboard horn on him and tada, I have a unicorn! The criminals of Jyväskylä are shaking in their boots right now... the hand of the team deadly unicorn (kalma is old word for death, 'nen' is very common end of last name around here, like hänninen, mäkinen etc you get the idea) is out the get them! * does another epic pose with unicorn sidekick *

Hahaha excellent! No wonder you chose the name Kalma with you owning scythes In my mind you are now DEATH from the Terry Pratchett Discworld novels (recommended) Luxa is adorable, if he doesn't slobber the criminals to submission XD then they would be stopped in their tracks by his cuteness. I'm sure he has a hidden killer urge in him though, one to rival the Hound of the Baskervilles.

LOL - your epic pose with slobbering unicorn sidekick is genius!

kalmanen In reply to sullen-skrewt [2008-06-28 14:11:29 +0000 UTC]

They ain't my only ones I might be a bit obsessed with the concept of personalized Death (thus having two grim reaper prints, everything covered with skulls, having four scythes and having nickname Kalma... few of my friends actually do call me that ) and I am very honored to be thought as someone like Pratchett's Death He is my favorite character right next to Binky, who has a way too small part in the books!
Luxa is adorable, but STUPID. He is stupidier than ODIE (= the dog from Garfield, I'm not sure if I spelled his name right)! I'm serious... there is no limit to the stupidity of that dog. He is "little" furry ball of love, but sometimes my sister and I do wonder if he has any brains or are they in his other ball that didn't come down
He's also huge. 90 cm on the shoulder, might grow a bit more And loooong. He's like a long-legged weiner dog, his back is twice as long as his legs
His killing urge is huge but unfortunatly can be stopped easily - if he needs to pee (we call it "brain piss" aka he stands about fifteen minutes just pissing, since it comes all the way from his head ), he can't move. One time a squirrel walked right in front of him but he couldn't do anything! My sister told me that the anguish in his expression could've been touched

Don't remind me of that, now I want to draw it
