Hmm, wasn't sure whether to upload this as it's been done before (on a smaller size canvas). However with my increasing love of splattery backgrounds and the fact it's been put on eBay XD I thought 'what the hell'.
(any money made off an eBay sale goes toward vets bills for my cat, Basil who is going round with a bandage on his paw at the moment, after splitting his paw open (probably by stepping on glass- the silly sod!)
*cries* why are vets bills sooo expensive! Bloody cat

Seriously though, this is a VERY cool deviation. The spatter effect really adds to the mentality of the Joker. Bold, strong, vibrant. Seemingly chaotic but with calculated purpose. It ties the picture together. There's so much raw emotion coming off it. It's mesmerising. How many hours did it take to render?

I like to think that he's in his own little bubble with the reality outside melting around him. It took about two days, I think (I'm terrible for keeping note of times, really need to keep count). The splatter took less time but was difficult to restrict the colours so it didn't look too distracting.

Thank you. With the splatter technique I'm using, I'm finding my clothing is starting to look like a tribute to Pollock...will have to invest in overalls, I think.
Basil is fully healed and is back to molesting the furry toy cat we keep for his amusement

He's better already. He did eventually manage to get the bandage off (completely, we don't know where it is!) but his little paw looks healed. We're just waiting to see what injury he come in with next.

Yeah, he's worth the expense, the little tyke! However I think avoidance of cat-astrophe (see what I did there?) could be solved by making him little booties. Also part of the problem is he's a gentle giant - very passive cat and tends to get beat up occasionally by other moggies
