This is just completely brilliant. I'm sorry, but I can't think of any other word to describe it. The resemblense is so big, it's almost like a picture. Did you do this from memories of the man or did you use a picture to peek now and then? Anyhow, you have skills, my friend. (:

Using photos or live models as reference is NOT a bad thing guys. Artists throughout history have been doing that and there's nothing wrong with that. The only thing that matters, truly, is the end result. If someone really likes a piece - they aren't goiing to care HOW you did it, they're just just happy that you did it at all.
It would be like criticizing a doctor for studying up on his reference materials before performing a life-saving operation. No one's going to say, well sure you saved his life, but it's not a REAL operation & you're not a REAL doctor because you had to use reference materials. The only thing that's important is that the operation was a success. lol
