...Bless!An ACEO of the lovely couple.
Painted in acrylic and -gasp- outlined with a drawing pen. There was a reason for this but I can't quite remember what it was. I was probably bored.
Oh, saw the movie and am now completely smitten with it.

you especially nailed it with Zachary Quinto's face in this one. Uhura looks pretty, but not as much like the actress as this painting looks like Quinto. Great work!

Very nice. I like the outline that you added, it fits the card genre nicely. I agree, the movie is awesome. I read somewhere that the cast has signed on for at least two more movies.

Thank you. I don't usually use pen outlines, but for this it seemed to go well with the paint.
Oh, that's great news. I'd love to know who the villian will be in the next movie. For the time being, I'll be seeing Trek again next week.

I loved the movie. The only thing that bothered me about it was the SpockxUhura relationship.
Spock wasn't ever with Uhura ever in the series, or anyone for that matter.
Still, this is a great painting

However, despite my rambling post below, I'd be hugely annoyed if they gave, say, Sherlock Holmes a relationship, so I can see exactly where you're coming from with this.
I believe Spock uses a Holmes quote in the movie.

I liked the relationship in it. I thought that showing more of Spock's more emotional human side made sense. He is still quite reserved in his feelings...Uhura seems to the one who initiates the encounters with Spock. It's the human element - passionate and deep-feeling that tries to combine with the Vulcan stoicism and logic...This could be a description of Spock and Uhura's relationship, or about spock himself and his human heritage.

An ACEO (Art Cards, Editions and Originals) are basically art cards, usually measuring 2.5 inches x 3.5 inches. They're teeny!
