Ahahahaaaa!!!
This is a still of the Joker threatening Rachel in the upcoming movie The Dark Knight. Painted from an image I found somewhere on'tinternet.
I have to say, I wasn't hugely impressed with the casting of Heath Ledger as the Joker in the beginning, but frankly he's grown on me and now I can't wait to see what he does with the character. I reckon he'll do a cracking job.
All rights Warner Bros etc...

It's beautiful
Looks almost like an oil painting from the way you let the brush strokes add to the composition, and the lighting is gorgeous. The one thing that seems a little off is the bright spot by Rachel's head. Everything else is very smooth and circular and that one isn't, so it kinda throws me off.
Excellent use of colors, bravo!

I'm always torn between trying to make it look as realistic as possible and trying to make it look painted. I love texture in paintings though so I often end up adding with layers, scraping the brush across, dabbing etc. It's more fun!
Good call on the light. It does look mutated. I don't know why I left it like that, I'd have to look at the reference photo and figure out why I stretched the light.

Heath ledger was fantastic as the joker he was able to portray dark emotions as well as be highly entertaining, and deliver his jokes in a way that you couldnt stop laughing he was perfect for the part!

I may have loved the movie, but this really sets it off. When I saw the thumbnail of it, I didn't think it was painted because of how realistic it looked. Very well done.
