Description

By popular request, an updated version of my 25th Century Starfleet Uniforms compilation , based on the new official uniforms released for Cryptic Studios' Star Trek Online MMORPG.

Notes

- Flag officers now all have the command red stripe on their uniforms, irrespective of which Starfleet Division they are responsible for

- Excursion uniforms are worn on field missions in frontier environments or when a firefight is expected; otherwise, Away Teams default to the standard Service uniforms

- Starfleet Academy teaching staff now all wear the standard Service uniforms, with the Academy Commandant being a Vice Admiral

- Starfleet Medical uniform variants are only worn by personnel specifically working in the eponymous Division; Starship CMOs and other medical staff default to the standard Science/Medical blue-striped uniforms

- Starfleet Intelligence personnel simply provide field intelligence support, and do not engage in super-duper-top-secret-black-ops missions; their dress uniforms default to Command/Tactical/Security red

- Physical Training uniforms can also be worn as excursion uniforms for non-combat missions in hotter climates

- The new Mk V EVA suit is based on the MACO armor from the game, and are being gradually rolled out to replace the older 24th Century Mk IV suit on an as-needed basis

Uniforms I still won't do

- Nurses and Counselor variants, as they are collectively also medical staff

- Diplomatic Corps, as they are either civilian Federation diplomats outside of the Starfleet chain of command, or Starfleet officers already pulling double-duty as Counselors

- Starfighter Corps, as they wear the Mk IV/Mk V EVA suits and are considered part of their carrier ship's crew complement rather than a dedicated unit

- Marines/MACOs, as long-duration exploratory, humanitarian and peacekeeping ground operations are conducted by regular Starfleet personnel under the supervision and support of field specialists seconded from Starfleet Expeditionary Forces Command; discussions regarding the SEFC is beyond the scope of this uniform compilation
