Description Remember those? I never really went anywhere with this concept, but I didn`t abandon it completely. 
I also decided to drop the human-like elements since I still can`t draw them right, and simplify the premise to nothing more than "bunches of weird critters who crawled out of giant worms duke it out for territory".

The point is to design groups of monsters that have a strong unifying aesthetic, but are simultaneously quite diverse, like armies in a strategy game or something like that.

So for the Ambolokoth (top) the theme is basically "forest" - incorporating everything from furry woodland critters to the trees themselves.
Amvalassar (bottom) are just... rock slime. Both slime creatures that secrete rocky shells and rock creatures that soften into goo to move are very obvious and very good ideas that I`ve never seen explored in media.
