I really love how the colours kinda turn into splatters.

May I ask if you used a reference for this?? :>
I'm curious because I also use water colors but never know what to paint, and if I do I can't seem to find a clear/nice picture of what I want to draw lol

Yes I did! I was watching a speed paint of someone drawing a jaguar (this one I think-- m.youtube.com/watch?v=bhzCGwkD⦠) and I really liked how expressive it was, lol so I found a leopard pose on google (I cannot find it now though! DX) and earlier when I was searching for ideas on Pinterest my friend found a watercolor splatter painting of a leopard (I can't find the original reference but it was similar to this s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/7⦠) I usually get my ideas from multiple other artworks and photos and I find that if you can't find a good reference on google try to find one here on DA! There are lots of great photographers on here (just make sure to get their permission or link the photo you used

That's cool! I want to do something like this with my cat to be honest, and be a photographer as well as a digital and traditional artist helps? But I still use a lot of other people's photographs for reference though! I do wish I was able to watch that YouTube video though, but my poor/limited internet are I live won't let me. Hopefully I can find some helpful tricks for the splatter effects online though! ^^ Also Thanks for sharing your links, it was really helpful!!

You're welcone! And my art teacher told me for the water color you just have to mix up the color you want and add a bunch of water (like a super amount so it's really runny and such) and then put the color on your brush and hit your brush of another brush. That's what I did for the picture shown above
