My entry for the challenge Bi-Monthly Shenanigans #1: Artists' Block by
This is a very simple and quickest artwork that I have ever done lol, which took me less than 10hrs/3 days. Constructive criticism is most welcome.

Going through an artist block is something ever artist has shared, but what exactly is it like going through it?
Well psychologically speaking it is a sate where the mind seems caged and bereft of all creative ideas or the ability to think artistically. Scientific explaination apart, I wanted to show a blank face with the girl's mind caged behind bars with all the creative ideas like the paper cranes here flown away, far and out. Everything in this scene pertains to the concept of artist block. The cracked wall and on her body, the blank faces is to show how everything about oneself turns empty with no ideas.
The decaying, grungy background alluding to the internal struggles one's mind is going through.

Despite all this, I wanted to show calm emotions over the girl because I feel if one tries to force your mind to come up with creative ideas and get out of the slump it actually backfires, making one feel more agitated. A calm attitude is what one needs to adopt when your mind is blocked, artistically.
