Even with a modern spin, this has got to be one of the best adaptions I've ever seen of Sherlock Holmes. It's got a fair amount of seriousness and hilarity, but then again it's also a European miniseries, which automatically makes it awesome to begin with. Personally I think the portrayal of Mr. Holmes here is the most accurate I've seen on television, much better than what Robert Downey Jr. did. But that's just my opinion.ANYWAY. This is awesome. So watch it.

I prefer this potrayal than the Robert Downey Jr too, even if it was kind of...cool I guess, I felt like Sherlock was out of character during the movie. But then that's my opinion haha and maybe I seen/read too many Sherlock Holmes x)

Lovely stamp! Hey, how about Granada series with Jeremy Brett as Holmes? Have you seen it? I think that one is even more accurate than the new BBC adaptation, but the new Sherlock is pretty good too. It's definitely way better than the horrible 2009 movie. And I agree with you on the European thing.

You should definitely check him out. Almost everyone admits that Mr. Brett (R.I.P) was the best Holmes ever. He was the firt Holmes I saw on TV and have been in love ever since.
