Why so slouchy, Char?

Name: Charlize Belldain

Personality: A daring explorer and ever the optimist, Charlize never lets anything bring her down. She's still kind of naive but she is very strong. Her strong will is proof in her extreme positive attitude- a direct result of all the bad stuff she's gone through. Unfortunately it also left her very guarded. She can be rather thoughtful and endearing if treated nicely, however.

Though her sunny disposition is insensitive and inappropriate at times, she is never deterred. (resulting, mainly, in chaos)

Strengths:
Very good vision- like 20/20 or something
Pays close attention to detail, making her a calculating thinker
Hard worker and will do what she is told
Also got good hand eye coordination and can shoot a bow and arrow well.

Weaknesses:
Her super positivity makes her come off as a jerk sometimes.
She has trouble saying what she's actually feeling and is prone to blatantly lie.
Her close attention to detail also makes her miss the big picture.

Her magic skill is maybe in the negatives.
Oh! And she's got some kind of heavy accent which is pretty much a weakness since no one can really understand her. (Similar to French)

Background: Char grew up in a far off city with a well meaning but absent father and an estranged sister resentful after their mother walked out on them some time before. Between that time, her mother had always been unhappy. She often sat staring at a candle sullenly. Char never really understood why she was always so sad and one day, wanting her mother to play with her, tried to take the candle away. This resulted in her mother trying to take it back and the candle being knocked over and burning Char's face. However, unlike her sister, she never harbored any resentment torward her mother, but instead, felt disappointed in herself, as if she displeased her mother and that was the reason she left. Now she sought to make her proud.

Later, when Char was all grown up, she became an apprentice archeoligist. Her close atention to detail and passion for exploring gave her a natural affinity for the work. One day, however, her master and her, who had become a great friend and her only family, intruded on the nesting site of a griffin who then proceeded to knock them off the cliff they were working on.
Char broke her arm and a few ribs but was relativley in better shape than her master, who died shortly after, leaving Char stranded in the mountains, lost and alone. Finally, she was able to find a nearby village, where she began to recover. During her stay at the village, she befriended the people and became very protective of them. When some war criminals raided the village, she helped drive them away, but it was too late. The village was destroyed. At that point, she realized her destiny was for the army, now that she had nothing left.

Other:
Sadly, she's got a resting bitch face and that scar doesn't help.

She is left handed
She also likes to wear her hair up.
