Description
I'll bet you thought that was the sky back there. Look again.Thar hain't no sky in the Smokey Mountains, hits jus' a sliver.
My mother would love this...
So this is for you, mom.
ps. Painting with a mouse is like trying to drive,
with an etch-a-sketch.
pps. Help! How do I get this thing off the market?
It's still a WIP...as is everything else I do. It's worth a cup of coffee to me. Any advice?
Thanks.

Hola estepo.
Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
This picture did spend a little more time in therapy (lol) than most.
The computer program kept crashing and after three tries I found I have to save my progress incrementally. The original picture was a person in a room. It came to me (by video chat) in nothing but color splotches. My first work with that piece of material was "Number 2". Turning it on it's side, I saw what eventually developed in my mind. I have no luck with models or vistas as they generally exert too much influence.
MicroSoft picture-it 9 supplies the pallet, the brushes, and gives me tools so that I can blend, smudge and even add a little texture. It's not as friendly as real oils, but a lot faster and cleaner!
The best thing is that I can save what I like and discard or paint over what I don't, without wasting any canvases.
Have a buenos dias.
