Description So in between commissions/slacking off on homework, I was working on this new creature thing that I saw posted up by *griffsnuff . [I'm more than sure you've seen her work. o uo''

So I wanted to give it a try since I use to love coloring animals. So this brought back a lot of good, fun memories for me in my younger days [FFFFT. more like 3-4 years ago. xDD] Still can't draw paws worth shit.

Also thinking about adding animals into my commission list of things I can do. This would help me with paws and different animal positions!

Enjoy, Comment, & Don't Steal!

XDD I'm surprised it came out as well as it did... I haven't drawn an animal in months [that are not PokΓ©mon]. I'm going to make sure I draw them more and practice with different poses with them. xD Though I should be spending more time getting my portfolio together for college and not drawing crack animals. -SHOT-

See... to me your colouring looks 10x better than mine. o Ao; I honestly don't get how to add texture and it doesn't take over the colours... ;_; How do I do that? @~@;

Texture... Well I usually do this... I have the picture and then I duplicate it. Make a new layer with Clipping Mask on the Dup. Layer. Now I recommend having a dark tone texture [or just make it gray, that's what I did] And have the Clipping Mask layer on "Overlay" on the Dup. And if it looks too intense you can always make the texture less opacity. but you know that. ; u; Not sure if this also works on SAI. But I always do it on PS.

Sometimes I have the Clipping Mask set on 'Color Burn' and the Dup. Layer on 'Soft Light'. But that gives you a strange, extremely light look. xDD

There ARE textures in SAI or so I've seen tuts for it. There is also masks in SAI. I never think about masks ... I should try them sometime. : o

; u; I would still use Photoshop... I just feel like PS would be better for something like that... textures and what not.

Yeah, using textures in SAI is... some what of a process it looks like. But masks are something easy. I've just never used masks...
