- Build: Fit, slightly bottom heavy. Notably stronger than an average human, but still within reason for a human without alteration.

Powers:
- Precognition: Araceli was born with the ability to see glimpses of the future. Originally it only happened every once in a while, but over time she has developed the power to the point where it happens often, as well as to the point where she can specifically look into the future herself (with varying results).
- Silence: Araceli is unable to speak any of her visions. She can try to lead others to realize them without speaking, but it tends to be difficult. If she thinks she can handle potential problems alone, she doesn't bother trying to tell anyone.
- Flight: Araceli can fly while wearing or utilizing the cape.
- Cape Transmutation: Araceli's golden gape can take the shape of anything the user can imagine, provided there is enough material to make it. The cape cannot change color, so the object it transforms into remains golden and shimmery. However, the cape can change texture, malleability, and strength, among other characteristics. The default strength of the cape is bulletproof.
- Break: If the cape or anything it is transformed into is destroyed or Araceli disperses it, the material returns to what's left of the cape. Because of its ability to rebuild itself, the cape is virtually indestructible.
- Bond: The cape forms a bond with the owner that lasts until death. Due to this bond, no one else is capable of utilizing the cape's powers but Araceli. In addition, the longer the cape is worn, the more attached the owner tends to be. After years of use, Araceli is bothered by not having the cape with her. She has been quoted as saying that it feels like leaving a piece of her soul behind. She carries it with her if at all possible, and when it isn't possible, she tends to transform bits of the cape to jewelry or accessories in order to have a bit with her.
- Knowledge: Prior knowledge of the physics and mechanics behind anything the user wants to make is necessary. For instance, Araceli could not make a gun without knowing each piece of it and being able to recreate it in her mind.
Personality:
Araceli tends to be rather serious and no-nonsense when it comes to hero work, a trait that she's come to be known for by the super community. She does, however, have a bit of a dry sense of humor, which is mostly seen in her civilian life. Araceli's temper is quick, but controlled. She doesn't pay much mind to dramatics or theatrics, and focuses on the problem at hand and how to solve it. She tends to work alone, but won't hesitate to team up if she sees the need. She is usually quiet unless she has something that needs to be said. She is clever, respectful, and more of a leader than a follower.
Backstory/Origins:
Born with the ability to see glimpses of the future but the inability to communicate them effectively, Araceli led a quite frustrating childhood. As a teenager, Araceli came into possession of a shimmery, golden cape. While at first she thought nothing of it, she soon realized its powers. Finally empowered to act on her visions and stop bad things from happening, she quickly threw together a "hero costume" and began her career as Gilding. It was a bumpy road at first, as she didn't have the mechanical knowledge required to make anything more complex than a baseball bat.
Not long after becoming a hero, Araceli applied herself to studying mechanics and physics in order to be able to recreate more complex weapons and tools. In doing so, she excelled in those fields throughout the rest of high school and college, and quickly became a force to be reckoned with in the academic world.
Many years later, as an adult, Araceli makes a living by designing schematics (and sometimes building) various robots and machinery for companies nationwide. In her spare time, which is plentiful as she is self employed, Araceli goes out as Gilding and helps to keep New York safe. She mostly works small scale, taking on local criminals more than supervillains and worldenders, but she has teamed up with several heroes in the past to take on bigger threats.
(CANON ONLY FOR MARVELCONNECT) Native to Earth-616, in an unfortunate accident triggered during a clash with an alliance of supervillains, Araceli was transported to the Earth-199999 universe (MCU), where she has been trying to find a way back to her home timeline for years.
Weaknesses:
- Araceli is prone to overestimating her abilities, and often gets in over her head without any hope of backup.
- Her blunt nature and independence makes her hard to work with, and sometimes alienates allies altogether.
- Araceli is afraid of bugs and avoids them if at all possible.
- While Araceli has a number of tools and weapon designs mastered so that she can make them, there are many others she can't make without studying first. While her knowledge in mechanics and physics helps alleviate this issue, many extremely complex objects are out of her grasp.
- Her cape cannot replicate smells, sounds, or colors, and cannot produce foreign substances or its own energy. For instance, she could make a smoke bomb or grenade, but the cape couldn't actually produce any smoke or explosion. On the other hand, she could make a robot, but she would still need a power source. These catches makes the cape less effective and can compromise authenticity if she's trying to fool someone.
- While Araceli does get quite a few visions naturally, actively seeking out visions is a very draining process.
Notes:
- Araceli typically wears mostly black in her day-to-day outfits.
- Araceli is a pretty good problem solver, and a quick thinker. She can quickly design many custom tools or machines on the spot in order to overcome obstacles.
- She loves to geek out and will spend hours talking about math or science with anyone who'll give her the time of day.
- She makes good money designing machinery due to her innovative nature and the fact that she's become well known. She lives in a nice apartment in NYC. (MARVELCONNECT: Restarting after moving universes was challenging, but she soon discovered she could resell a lot of her old designs from her home timeline, and quickly caught back up.)
Notable Relations (MARVELCONNECT):
- Peter Parker: Seeing as to how he was one of her best friends and a major ally in her home universe, Peter Parker was the first person she looked for when she arrived on Earth-199999. While she can't help but be disappointed that he isn't the Peter she knew, she finds great joy in seeing a young version of Peter, and loves finding the similarities between the two. She does her best to team up with him whenever he needs a hand and to be a good example of what a hero should be.
- Matt Murdock: Another close friend and ally, she tracked down Matt Murdock next. While Matt was obviously shaken and suspicious by her knowledge of his secret identity, she explained everything and he knew she wasn't lying. Araceli and Matt are casual friends. They often go out to lunch together.
