LOL okay, who watched Pippi Longstocking as a kid?
one of my favorite childhood cartoons! hehe thought I'd dedicate a picture to her ^w^ man, if i had a Pippi when I was a kid, we'd have craaaaazzzzyyy times.

I. LOVED. Pippi. In fact my little sister used to sing the Pippi song from the movie, "Hey ho, I'm Pippi!" and since my name sounds somewhat like Pippi, she'd often replace "Pippi" with my name and sing the song instead. XD It fit, too. Pippi is one of my favorite childhood book series and movies and whatnot, loved Pippi so much! Your art is spot on!Β

I don't know. Β On the one hand, it is obvious that Pippi does not need a parent or guardian. Β On the other hand, isn't it against the law to be a minor and not have a parent or guardian? Β And while we are analyzing Pippi's criminal record, didn't she also cause property damage and inspire a school walkout? Β That seems like enough evidence to put her away for years. Β I am hoping that by this point, the Swedish prison system works through rehabilitation rather than retribution (like the U.S. prison system does).
Pippi Longstocking is a frustrating character for me. Β She is fun, energetic, and has an independent personality that I love. Β She also is not focused on romance, which is rare for girl based media. Β It is just a shame that she is also a lawbreaker.
