Ambrosia carefully pulled the tissue paper from her side and carefully pushed it into her red gift bag. “Oh Chii I hope she likes this.” She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. “Who am I kidding.” She stared at the gift tag with WICKE written in large black letters. “No you know what, it is from the heart, shes gonna love it!” Ambrosia stood proudly and kissed the tag before putting it on the bag. “Perfect, right Spook?” She showed the bag to her Runeboo who looked sleepily from the bed and yawned at her. “I'll take that as a yes.” She laughed before running to her bag and pulling out a red cape “Perfect.” She said, putting the red cape with its fluffy red trim on.
She walked out of her room and past Chrysi “Where are you going?” Chrysi said not looking up from Ollie who was chasing a small ball across the floor “Nowhere you need to know.” she stuck out her tongue. “Well it better not be to do something stupid, mom and dad are finally letting you out on your own again. We don't need any more of this ‘Spite business.’” Chrysi said, looking her sister straight in the eye. Ambrosia felt the sting of her sisters eyes on her soul but she nodded “I am just going to town, nothing major” Chrysi raised an eyebrow. “And in your nicest cape... You are going out to see that Wicke girl aren't you?”
“What! NO!” she said sweating “that's crazy I would never..”
“Amby I am not mom, I won't get onto you. Go have fun.” Chrysi smiled and Ambrosia laughed and ran out of the house and right to find Wicke.

After a bit she saw her. Her slick black hair pulled into a loose bun her brown jacket dimly reflecting the light and her green skin practically glowing, Ambrosias heart fluttered as she ran over and tapped her shoulder. “Hey Wicke!” she said in a happy excited voice She turned around “oh hey” Ambrosia took a deep breath and held out a gift “Happy Heartkindle, Wicke!” She smiled and Wicke looked at the bag and carefully took it. Ambrosia kept her smile “its a dress, I was thinking we could keep it at my house so he doesn't see it this time.” Her eyes sparked, Wicke opened her mouth, but Amb didn’t let her finish. “Actually before you say anything,” she closed her eyes and took Wickes open hand.

“Will you go out on a date with me?”
