I love how the red exit sign clearly plays second fiddle to the sprawling perspective and the strong graphical traits of the rest of the scene, but still remains inexorably the subject of the photo. Very clever.

I like how all the color seems to be washed out, except for the exit sign glowing brightly at the end of the hall.

yes... you're the first one who notices that as a fact it's been desaturated (more than once) and re-toned -but I wanted to lose the yellow-ish tones of the original -and the bright colors of the carpet in the corridor.
thank you I appreciated the comment.

hm. this is a fantastic shot, technically. many people would also think it's brilliant because of the composition, the way it plays tricks on you with angles and perspective. it's clever, but these kinds of shots always just annoy me. but then i get annoyed too easily. i'm assuming the red patch is the exit sign? also clever. i guess what i'm trying to say is that it's very good, but it ain't my cup of tea.

if they had here a 'motivated score' box, like on other galleries, this would be an '1', like 'I appreciate it but I don't like it'
thanks for the honest comment appreciated.

Γ¨ "the last exit"?

sundreaming In reply to DottorDestino [2005-12-15 17:45:15 +0000 UTC]
esatto. sono i segni luminosi rossi delle uscite... quindi il soggetto della foto ovvio che a questo ho dato un po' di spray per ravvivarlo un po'

ahhh the luxor! i've heard stories about this place but had never seen inside! looks very cool in there.
great shot

sundreaming In reply to claytes [2005-12-15 18:06:31 +0000 UTC]
yeah that's it... I think one would never guess the 'inside' from the 'outside'. I've been there for 2 weeks when in LV, and I'll tell you that it takes some time to figure out the directions, 'where is what' etc I guess also because of the symmetry of the pyramid.

architectural-ish shots are in a way always abstract... you never see the 'real' building but just the shapes, the patterns. in this case I'd say 'moody archi-abstract' =>
hey antone's is still open in austin I hope
yeah it is [link]
