\\ Eva grew up in the streets of Lower East Side Manhattan in the care of her mother Elena Ruiz. Once a meek and timid kid, she lived alienated from her peers due to an overly protecting parenting, though developing a deep interest in science thanks to the influence of her uncle Arthur Torres, a renowned biologist. From casually reading books about biology and chemistry, from an interest it became a passion, leading into her teenage life with the prospect of turning it into a career.

Eva’s studies were cut short, however, as a hit and run put her mother in a coma, forcing her to leave college and dedicate herself to take care of her as well as pay off the medical bills.
Right when Eva’s life was at its bleakest, uncle Arthur came to comfort and offer her a stable job as an assistant in his lab, she accepted in a heartbeat.

A couple of years pass by since then and even with enough funding to get back to college, Eva’s insecurities and fears keep her from moving forward.
