A birthday present for my friend Dave, who shares my love of all things bird and we usually swap birdwatching moments every time we meet ^_^I decided to put the chickadee among the maples because my friend is born under the Vine Moon on the Celtic tree calender and one of the trees associated with that moontime is the maple, or so say my sources. Plus it looks neat and more autumn-themed, appropriate to a fall birthday!

Sorry I can't remember which website I got my info from exactly, it's been a few years! If you google "celtic tree calendar" then you will find basically the same information on most of the sites that come up
