This is a very sweet little story with a good for people or oysters. There's one little nitpick I can make about the writing though. It should say, "Some years had passed" or "There had been some time since" to start that second to last panel.

At first I did not know if the story would have a happy ending and I got so sad! But then the ending was so beautiful and wonderful! I love the idea behind it. It would make a really wonderful children's book for sure. Shelbert is adorable, I love his little bowtie. You did such a good job on drawing all his expressions. I also love the look of all the other oysters in the story and the atmosphere you created. Well done!
