Lovely as always~ I watched your video, as well. So you deliberately color over your lines? I have never thought of doing that, but it gives a very distinct look!

I usually start with the line art then create a single layer underneath it and fill in real quick basic color/shadow/light. Once satisfied with the "rough" result, merge both layers, then color on it with more care for details/shading/etc. (but I do keep backup layers just in case)
But then, it really depends what type of coloring you want to achieve. (I'm still experimenting a little)

I see. Do you just use one shade of gray when shading? I am also experimenting. There are so many styles, but I must say that I prefer yours the most! I still have just over nine months to find my way, though, so it is lucky for me that you have made so many videos for me to reference :3

Oops. Basically I try to find the colors that mix well with the background.
(That's why I always color the background before characters)

Shade of gray... Is it that technique where you would first color in different shades of gray, then create a layer over it and set it to multiply before adding colors? .. Value shading, I think?
I remember trying it a very while ago, but that was pretty tough. So I never gave it a try again! Instead, I would just usually increase the contrast at the very end to fix the values.

From the looks of it I'd say it's Yozakura Quartet rather than Chrono Crusade. On the left it's probably Mariabelle and on the right Yae Shinatsuhiko. Mariabelle is actually wearing Yae's outfit and Yae is wearing her usual stockings and something I don't remember from the show, but there was a nurse called Juri.

Oh I love this one I love the good and evil contrast here. With the nurse and nun which kind of plays with the imagination the chruch is beautiful and simple and your scrupulous attention to subtle detail never ceases to amaze me I love the lighting as well and the characters pose and heavy contrast in appearance. It kind oof reminds me vaguely of the show American Horror Story: Asylum.
