Description This one of the first test shots I did with my S2 with animals/moving subjects what have you. I don't know if I really like it, I'm still trying to get used to the settings of this camera.

I would love for people's opinions on this, so I would really love a critque please and thank you. I would like to know how I am doing and if i need to correct or change anything.

The lighting on the faces is a little flat and the top right corner overexposed. Try shooting with the sun beaming on from their sides to get a more flattering portrait. A tight crop on just their heads and necks might have given the image a little more character (the body in the foreground just takes up blank space without really adding anything to the image), and if you weren't doing so already, get down on their level, as low as you can (I'm often on my stomach for shots like this), for a better perspective.

Keep practicing!

Lighting is definatly something I really need to work on. I've never been great at that whether it's my pictures or even my animation works. I didn't think about croping more closely on the heads, I'm gonna have to try that and see what the results are.

And sadly no I wasn't at their level. I was standing a little ways away and pointed my camera downwards. I will definatly take that into consideration and do it, I never really though about getting down on their level until you suggested it. Thank you!

Thanks so much for the critque once again!

Yeah, a border might add to it. I like the colors and the moment where they're both looking at the same thing- pricelss.

Definatly agree with you there. A border would really work well. I think that those two ducks were concentrated on my roomate would was a bit of the ways away. These ducks are terrified of people.

Thanks for the comment.

I can't find anything to critique on, except maybe you should add a border. The sharpness and contrast is perfect.

Haha I did forget borders on both of these test shots. It definatly would make for a better presentation of the picture.

Thanks for the comment!

I can't really think of anything to change. The brightness is perfect and the colors are realistic. It's also very sharp and crisp. Looks good!! What make is your camera? how many megapixels does it have?
