What do you do to achieve such wonderful lighting?

i seriously dont know , but i always get the final lightning after many tries and color test... At first i wanted to go blue/green for this one like in this poster i made a while ago ( itsihusky.deviantart.com/art/L… ) but did not really fit imo. So i focused on the light of the lamp and add some "cold lightning" with a little touch of red, ( idk why i add the red light lmao ) and voila.
For the settings i do it by "instinct"
