It is in New Leaf! Since the Welcome Amiibo update, Wolf Link can be scanned in, and he has an RV! You can even get him to move into your town. Which is exactly why I drew him. I'm selling functional Amiibo keychains with my art on them!

Cool.  It's been some time since I've played New Leaf, so I guess I never knew, though I probably wouldn't have anyways if he requires an amiibo since my 3DS doesn't have that function.

The update was pretty spontaneous, but I suppose it did its job in pushing more Amiibo sales! If I'm not mistaken, they sell Amiibo tag reader adapters that connect to o3DS. They're like 16-20 dollars if I can recall. It wouldn't be worth it to me if I didn't already have the n3DS with the reader included. I honestly haven't played in months, though.

It is a thing though.  Just scan a wolf Link Amiibo and BAM!  he's there in your RV park.  You can even envite him to live there, but then you can't scan him to order all the cool hylian swag out of his RV.
