Description
"Several years have passed since Nicolette's desperate struggle against her evil spirit and she has since settled down and started a family of her own.While they have enjoyed several years of peace and happiness, it's all about to vanish and Nicolette's son, William, is going to be thrown into the middle of a similar struggle whether he wants to be or not.
A terrifying being has haunted William's dreams since his childhood, and while they have been suppressed since, he will find the nightmares to be key in finding this being and unraveling the terrifying and heartbreaking events that have unfolded.

This is the official cover for Inheritance and I must say I'm very pleased with the result. Clip Studio Paint has so many amazing features and I've finally been putting them to use 
The little plot splurge up there may change but that is the basic idea and I hope it makes you guys more excited and eager for what's to come! And another page of Black Rose is next so keep your eyes peeled for that!

As I have to first catch up in the comic, I'll start with this piece. It's breathtaking, really. You can see that you knew exactly what kind of atmosphere you wanted to create and you did it. The textures are beautiful in everything. I like the dynamic pose (which is very important in a cover as you surely know) and the lighting is A-level goodness.Β
Only one thing (And this is pure nitpicking, so feel free to ignore it XD) It's the perspective on the water. I think from the view of the "camera", it could be more even...curse my english, I don't really know how to put it in words. But it's a small thing, really, and considering how great everything around is, you can oversee that.Β

Thank you so much, I'm really glad it came out so well. I'm using a new program called Clip Studio paint and there's so much that can be done~
I'm so glad I was able to create such a dramatic atmosphere and it was a little hard figuring out what I wanted but with a little experimenting, I got it. Thank you very much, that really means a lot to me~
And yes lol, poses are everything but man can they be tough lol.

Clip Studio Paint is really good! I have no money so I'm using good ol FireAlpaca, hehe

I feel you on so many levels, most of my drawings are portraits because my poses look way too stiff, so I admire that tenacity greatly

But I've heard great things about fire alpaca and you're doing a great job with it so far~
Yeah but as I got further into the drawing, I found what I wanted to do and executed it~
But that's very true for sure lol
Well the nice thing about Clip is that there are 3D models you can use so that helps a lot and you can get a feel for how it is to draw full bodies.
But keep it up and you'll be a pro, just keep practicing ^_^
Yeah, it was kinda tough cause I'm not good with perspective...But I'll be sure to work harder next time.

HOLY HELL THIS LOOKS INCREDIBLE!
You've REALLY been working on cover art, with colored pics of characters and backgrounds, but THIS really takes the cake!Β Β
I'm SUPER curious to see older NIcky: its natural, given the time period and her wealth that she would end up getting married, but I'm wondering how much like her mom is.Β I'm kinda glad I saw the latest page (where we see a flashback of her mom's advice on solving problems) before this because it REALLY makes me wonder what Nicky will bring into motherhood.Β Β
I see Willy being a lot like Des and Adelais:Β serious, stern, tempermental, but one HECK of a fighter.Β Β
The composition on this is just AMAZING!Β The stance, the lighting, that puddle:Β it's just perfect.Β I'm REALLY looking forward to this sequel/continuation!

Yeah but she's also gotta be careful with her wealth because of the revolution and such but it comes in very handy later!
She's got some of her mom's traits for sure but she's got that fun and warmth to her that Adelais doesn't have
But she does still have a temper like her mom and she makes sure everyone stays in line. At least she tries...Lol
Nicolette is a good mom, I will say that much
Serious is definitely something he is but believe it or not he's got the best temperament out of all my characters. He's very patent and doesn't lose his cool.
But I think that's good because we already have Adelais and Nicolette who have hot tempers so I figured we should cool it down
And he is a pretty good fighter too~ He has to be

Looks interesting. I still look forward to this story, though we first have to get to the end of "Black Rose". Speaking of, I find it interesting that there's a rose lying on the ground in front of William. It's almost like a bit of the past coming back, that William is still unaware of.

Backgrounds are really hard and I've found the best way is to not agonize over them so much. I know it sounds weird but the less you think about it, at least for me, the better.
But they are very time consuming, this is very true. Breaking the background into parts can help too.
Like, make a list of 3 elements you absolutely want to put in the background and then let everything else fall into place from there.
And there are actually a ton of tutorials through Clip Studio that can help you and if you ever wanna give it a shot, I'd be more than willing to give you a hand! ^_^

True that, I need to relax a bit more and try to tackle it in sections. Rather than stress on he idea of how it will look once finished. XD I think maybe this is why it took a long time for me, since I tried way too hard.
Thanks for the advice and I think my issue with clip studio is using the right brushes or at least brushes similar to Paint Tool Sai since I am more comfortable with paint tol sai's 'paint brush' I guess I have to mess with the settings a bit more... they give me a headache!!

Absolutely. I personally try to do a lot more sky and nature themes because I actually find them easy but find what suits you the best and what you have an easier time drawing.
Yeah so try to relax and have some fun with it and trust me, it will take practice but you can do it!

So what I suggest is looking for downloadable brushes. You can find some amazing things in the Clip studio assets!

Thanks, I found some brushes via tutorial on Youtube. I had trouble getting the brushes. XD Hmm I still like the default brush on the first Open Canvas program... but cannot find or emulate it. T-T
